Welcome to the Concept 101 art competition!
The brief this year is “Artisan magician”.
Create a piece of work which shows your own take on the brief. Whether that be a showman unveiling his latest trick in a show or a skilled baker using his magic to craft the sweetest pastries. Your work can be of any genre and style: sci-fi, fantasy, historical or even modern day.
We are looking for creative entries with an emphasis on storytelling. Entries can include keyframes, illustrations, character designs, environment designs, vehicles and prop designs. The important thing is to explain the thought process behind your piece and the narrative that drove to the final work.

DEADLINE

The deadline for the Concept 101 art competition is the 23rd of August 2024 18:00 BST.
Winners will be announced at the Concept 101 event at the closing ceremony.

ELIGIBILITY
​
Artists participating in the Concept 101 art competition must be present at the event to receive their prize. If you do not have a ticket (they are sold out) you need to know someone who will be at the event to collect your prize.
​
Entry is limited to individual artists, so team entries are not eligible.
​
Any usage of AI will immediately disqualify your entry.

JUDGING CRITERIA
​
Entries will be judged on a strong understanding of fundamentals and the creative approach of the contestant to the brief. Give us something fun and unique!
